Included here are some of my favorite recipes, and
I will add more as time permits.
My idea of a good recipe is that it
can be made from things you have around the house, in a few minutes most of the
time. The results appeal to adults and kids, but more importantly kids like to
help make them, and adventurous kids learn to like more and different kinds of
foods while preparing them. Kids are good cheap labor to reduce the time and
improve the experience of putting these things together, and the work helps
provide good life skills, so put them to work!
Some of the recipes
don't all fit all the criteria all the time, but are part of a style of cooking
and eating which, if it takes more time to do, provides more fun for the
participants. I want to ultimately create a cookbook which also can meet most
people's nutritional needs for $1 per person per meal, or up to $3 for
something special.

Also, most of these recipes fit into the category of "quick
party food for lots of people", so the Hash House Harriers should find some
things of interest here as well. On! On!, Down Down!
